The advanced driver-assistance systems use smart technology, sensors, software, cameras and other features, focused on three objectives:

driver-assistance systems
speed limiter
Prevents you from speeding when on the road; indicates the maximum speed limit for a more relaxed journey.
cruise control
Maintains the vehicle at the desired speed so you can enjoy comfortable driving on motorways.
adaptive cruise control
Adapts your speed, taking into account your choice and the traffic in order to slow down or accelerate and maintain safe distances with other vehicles. When traffic slows down, the vehicle stops and starts automatically with the built-in Stop & Go feature.
intelligent adaptive cruise control
Analyses road conditions (dangerous bends, roundabouts, etc.) to regulate the speed of your Scenic E-Tech 100% electric and enhance your safety. With its connectivity, it complements the action of the adaptive cruise control.
active driver assist
Combines intelligent adaptive cruise control with the Stop & Go feature and lane centering*. This system regulates your speed according to the traffic, maintaining a safe distances and ensures you keep to your lane. When traffic slows down, the vehicle stops and starts automatically. The real-time display of the road environment provides further assistance and keeps you informed.

distance warning
Calculates safe stopping distances and triggers an audible and visual warning when the front sensor detects an insufficient safe distance with the vehicle in front.
hill start assist
Assists with starting on gradients steeper than 3%: the device maintains braking for 2 seconds so you can accelerate with no risk of rolling backwards.
automatic high/low beam
Analyses light flows via the camera located at the top of the windscreen and automatically switches between high and low beam, making for greater driving comfort in Scenic E-Tech 100% electric in low light conditions.
LED adaptive vision (including fog mode)
Automatically adjusts the range and width of the light beam to suit driving conditions, such as speed and bends, and the weather. Enhanced driving comfort and safety.
park assist
rear park assist
Sensors installed at the rear of Scenic E-Tech 100% electric trigger audible and visual signals when there are potential obstacles to the rear.
front park assist
Manoeuvring is made easier courtesy of the front sensors, which provide audio and visual warnings of any unseen obstacles.
side park assist
Triggers audible and visual signals if any obstacles near the vehicle’s sides.
rear view camera
The screen displays a view of the environment to the rear of the vehicle when reverse gear is engaged. Use the autozoom or rotation view feature to adapt the view as required. Guiding lines make your manoeuvres easier and safer.
360° around view 3D camera
Using 4 cameras, this reproduces the vehicle's immediate environment through 360°, so you can manoeuvre in complete safety. Lets you see Scenic E-Tech 100% electric in 3D to better perceive its volumes.
hands-free parking
Defines the trajectory of your Scenic E-Tech 100% after detecting a suitable parking space. The system takes control of the steering but lets you control the accelerator and brake pedals.
smart rear view mirror
Provides an unobstructed view, even with tall passengers in the back, using a camera located at the back of the roof and a screen built into the rearview mirror.
wing mirrors that tilt when reversing
Makes manoeuvring easier when you adjust the wing mirrors on your Scenic E-Tech 100% electric. The system automatically stores and adapts the position of the mirrors to improve visibility when you put the vehicle into reverse. The system reverts to its initial position when you put the vehicle into forward drive.
rear cross traffic alert
Helps you reverse safely out of a parking space. Rear sensors detect and alert you to the approach of an obstacle in the vehicle's path.
rear automatic emergency braking
Scenic E-Tech 100% electric automatically brakes if there is an obstacle behind the vehicle when reversing.

blind spot warning
Uses light signals to warn you of vehicles that are outside your field of vision (above 15 km/h).
traffic sign recognition with speed alert
Notifies you of speed limit changes via the openR screen using the camera set into the top of the windscreen. Warns you if you exceed the speed limit.
Combined with active driver assist*, this system adapts the vehicle’s speed automatically based on your request.

active emergency braking
The camera and radar sensor provide a warning and intervene to avoid any collision with a pedestrian, cyclist or vehicle. If your reaction is too slow to avoid the impact, the system will activate the vehicle’s brakes.
intersection automatic emergency braking
Calculates the distance separating Scenic E-Tech 100% electric and the vehicle coming the other way when you change direction. The system warns you if there is a risk of collision, therefore encouraging you to brake. If you do not react, the system activates the brakes automatically.
lane departure warning
Steering wheel vibrations warn you if you unintentionally cross a continuous or broken lane marking. The system operates with a camera set into the windscreen behind the rearview mirror.
lane keeping assist
Counter-steers to bring your vehicle back into its lane if you cross a continuous or broken line without using the indicators (above 70 km/h).
front detection with emergency trajectory correction
Steering wheel vibrations warn you if you cross a continuous or broken line or get close to the edge of the road, central reservation, barrier, pavement, embankment, etc. If a collision or coming off the road is predicted, the vehicle automatically corrects its trajectory.
rear detection with emergency trajectory correction
Detects a potential collision risk with a vehicle that is overtaking in the adjacent lane, during a lane change. The system automatically corrects the trajectory.
driver attention alert
Constantly monitors and assesses the driver’s behaviour. If the driver becomes less attentive, it suggests taking a break via the message “Attention alert: take a break”
occupant safe exit alert
Warns of danger if when stopped, you or a passenger opens one of the doors when another vehicle suddenly appears. A visual warning appears in the rearview mirror, with an audible relay on the instrument panel.

Thus, more than 2,000 patents have been filed on solutions such as QRescue, Fireman Access or also SD Switch.

Scenic E-Tech 100% electric with active driver assist displays a modelled view of the traffic on your instrument panel so you can visual and assess your surrounding environment better.
post-accident active emergency braking
Emergency system for avoiding multi-vehicle collisions by automatically activating the brakes after a collision. This helps to prevent or attenuate the severity of a secondary collision, which may occur if the vehicle continues its route and is out of your control.
QRescue: a time-saving QR code
Affixed as standard* on the front and rear windscreens of Renault Scenic E-Tech 100% electric, the location was decided on in conjunction with firefighters, with the aim of making their interventions easier. This QR code can be simply scanned to allow the emergency services to access the vehicle’s technical data rapidly. This can save them up to 15 minutes of intervention time.

Safety score
The safety score assists the driver by analysing the speed, trajectory and safe distance data transmitted during trips. It displays the driver’s score, between 0 and 100, after each journey. It can then give personalized tips on how to improve their driving.

Renault has been a key player in safety for over 50 years and is constantly innovating and improving the passive safety of its models, helping to reduce the number of road accident victims by a factor of 5. With its "human first program", Renault improves the safety of all road users on a daily basis. As part of this initiative, Scenic E-Tech 100% electric has been designed to protect you at every stage of your trip.
reinforced structure for improved passenger protection
The structure uses materials that have a high energy absorption capacity in the event of front, rear and side impacts. The aim is to prevent severe structural deformations.
battery built into the structure
The battery on Scenic E-tech 100% electric is designed as an integral part of the structure so as to provide improved protection in the event of a collision, but also to contribute to the vehicle’s overall rigidity
high-protection seats
Row 1 and 2 seats have various safety elements:
- anti-slip device preventing the pelvis of front passengers from slipping under the lap belt during a violent impact
- Isofix attachment for safe installation of child seats in the front and in the back.
- front and rear attachments on headrests to prevent whiplash in the event of rear impacts
- reinforced rear seatback attachments to ensure that luggage stays securely in place in the event of an impact
